Malyna's B-day

Well, last week we celebrated Malyna's birthday at good ol Adelphias, and I have to admit that Austin and I had as much fun as the birthday girl. Since I'm not the kind of person that lugs my big camera out on the town, I grabbed a few wild and crazy pics of us with my little point and shoot. And, I just got a txt asking if we want to make a repeat appearance tomorrow night....
Please take note of the progression of the evening... everyone looking calm and collective.. The birthday girl is wearing the pink top
And then we move to the dance floor
Where things got a little crazy...
The inevitable... late night self portrait

Anna and Courtney are Married!

On Saturday I had the awesome opportunity to second shoot for Bob Brown of Cricklewood Photography in King of Prussia for the wedding of Anna and Courtney. The ceremony and reception were held at the groom's parents residence and I can't even explain how nice it was there. There were gardens and flowers everywhere, and I was so excited to shoot my first outdoor wedding. Here are a few of the pics that stood out to me:

I grabbed this shot right before Anna got into the limobus and I love how the light hit her face

Some Details:
The florist did such an amazing job. I loved the flowers they got!

Something a little different, but I knew I wanted to do something fun with this one of the flowergirl.
Don't you wish this was your backyard?

A Dog Day for the American Cancer Society

On Sunday I participated in a charity event to support the American Cancer Society by taking pictures of doggies. For a small donation to the ACS, dog moms and dads could get a 4x6 print of their family pet. Austin's aunt put this entire event together and she put so much time and effort into it. She even had a little platform and flowers set up for the doggie photos.

My little Lola was our model to test out the set-up

And then we had an extra special little visitor.... baby Cole!

Cori and Bill are married!

On Saturday I had the chance to second shoot the awesome wedding of Bill and Cori for Mark Gardner right in my own neighborhood. The wedding was a 50's theme complete with a stunning Marilyn Monroe-esque bride and pin-up style inspiration for the bridesmaids. This wedding was so much fun to photograph, and they even had a photo-booth set up for all their guests to get some fun pictures. Here are a few favorites...

Tori's Holy Communion

Today, I went to the first Holy Communion of my favorite little cheerleader Victoria. Tori was the flower girl in my wedding where she impressed everyone with her skills on the dance floor . I was so excited to be there today for Victoria and her family on such a big day. Congrats Tori!

Vacation = Cleaning?

So, I had a day off from work just to catch up on my life which included cleaning my room (closet room), and shopping for Mothers Day/B-day gifts. Needless to say I also came home with another cute pair of shoes and a pink handbag for me too! I'm definitely on a shoe kick recently. My room doesn't stay this clean for very long and I'm sure that there will be clothes on the floor within a week. So, here is the room while it's still nice and clean and organized..

Some visitors this morning: I think Lola was disappointed that there weren't any clothes on the floor for her to lay on while I was getting ready for work. This a gift from my mom.. goes well with the theme of the post.... haha

Dumpster Diving

No, this isn't a cool post with a play on words for a Trash the Dress shoot or something fun like that, but it is a pretty funny story. So, I'm heading to a meeting at 9am and I thought I heard something drop into the trashcan... look around, and I seem to have everything that I was carrying... So, I go on my way... Then, after what seemed like a long day, I decided that I needed to take a trip to Starbucks to break up the day... It was then that I realized what had dropped into the trashcan earlier.... it was my carkey! So, after hunting down the custodian, I find out that the trash has already been taken to the dumpster/compacter but there is a good chance that I would be able to find it because he used black trash bags in my area only... I thought... no way I am going to look in the dumpster for that key, I'll just get a ride home and call VW and pay the few hundred it costs for the lazer cut key and chalk it up to my own blondeness... Well, a coworker convinced me to go out there and at least try because he would help.. So picture this: there I am at my place of work in my business casual attire hanging over the edge of the dumpster... I couldn't reach the black bags so I actually had to jump in.... Very Sexy... huh? Anyways, I found my key in the second bag, so it was worth it, and I had a great story to tell.

Lunchtime photoshoot

I took some photos during my lunch break today of my friend and former cubemate Trishna. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of working in corporate America, and don't know what a cubemate is:
cubemate: the person who you share a 8 x 8 space with 2 desks surrounded by short walls that you get to spend your workday with.

I have been living in cubeland for about 8 years now.... yikes! and I use the words cubemate, cubeland, cubicle.. etc under the assumption that everyone knows what I'm talking about.... apparently not. Anyways, onto the pictures...

Sunny Florida

Hey guys.. I'm not neglecting my blog, I'm just in Florida on a business trip. I'm sure everyone back in Jersey is jealous of the 85 degree sunny weather here, but it kinda stinks to be on a trip alone. I do have my little point and shoot camera with me so maybe I'll get some time to grab a few pics when I'm not working. I'll be back on Friday, and off to a cheerleading competition this weekend. Now.... back to Dancing with the Stars....

Brett and Kimmy are Married

I'm so excited just to even write this blog post! This past Saturday I got the most awesome opportunity to second shoot for Nate Juliano at Brett and Kimmy's wedding. I was super nervous in the beginning... so much so that I wasn't talking, and anyone who knows me knows that me not talking is a rare occasion. Once I relaxed, I was able to enjoy myself. The bride was beautiful and the reception had so many personal touches that you could not help to share in their love that day.
